Farida has a big heart. Every day she goes around her village collecting food from different people in her tiffin box. This tiffin isn’t for herself though, it’s to share with all the animals that live around her neighbourhood – a feast for all her furry friends! A lovely story about sharing our food with not just with our friends and family but also our animals.

9. Green Eggs and Ham By Dr Seuss

Green Eggs and Ham is arguably one of the most famous Dr Seuss books. If your child hasn’t been introduced to the wonderful world of rhymes and the cat in the hat, then this is a good book to start with. Sam pesters Joey into trying a plate of strange looking green eggs and ham. Through a series of rhymes, Joey finally gives in and realizes he actually quite likes the dish. A great moral and a great classic for your collection.
10. Charlie and The Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl

What can we say about this book that hasn’t been said already? A timeless tale that is both whimsical and heartwarming. A book, that no matter how many times you read it, always tugs at those heartstrings towards the end. The movies are great, but nothing comes close to our imaginations running wild with the help of Roald Dahl’s excellent storytelling.
